Statement of Philosophy
It is the goal of this program to provide a well-rounded curriculum of enrichment activities including, but not limited to, arts and crafts and physical education in a relaxed environment governed by an appropriate balance between structure and freedom of choice.
WHKC wishes to serve as the child's home away from home and is dedicated to serving the collective needs of the children in age appropriate activities, as well as serving the individual needs of each child.

Kids Club is a non-profit, state licensed childcare center
Ryan K. - Executive Director
I have worked at Kids Club for 23 years. I started out as a teachers aid while attending college; double majoring and graduating from Cal State Hayward. I have worked my way up for many years into different positions in this field, I have been in a directors position for the last 15 years. I love the after-school environment with children. We get to help enrich the childrens lives with all different life skills, introduce new hobbies and ultimately help and guide them to become the amazing people they will grow into since we have them in our environment from K all the way through 5th grade. I live in SF with my husband and 2 dogs and one of my biggest passions in life is art. I am always creating and exploring new mediums to try. I am an animal lover and a huge fan of all different outdoor adventures!

I started working in childcare when I was 18 and decided to pursue elementary education as a career. I graduated from University of Arizona with a degree in Elementary Education and ultimately decided to stick with a career in childcare. My wife and I have two cats and our daughter was born in February 2024!

Bea B. - Teacher
My name is Bea Bandales and I am a student at Diablo Valley College (DVC). My major is Early childhood education which is why I decided to work at Kids Club! I love to do arts and crafts, especially for holidays when we can make beautiful art crafts for the occasion. And sometimes I like to take it outside by using chalk and such to enjoy the fresh air at the same time. I continue to learn how to be more open minded and to simply communicate with the kids whenever they are feeling down. I look forward to using these skills to teach my future students and to apply certain skills necessary in my life!

I have always had a passion for working with children and providing a safe and positive environment for them to learn and grow! My name is Paulina; I was born and raised in Walnut Creek. I went to Indian Valley, WCI, and Las Lomas. I've worked with children with special needs for 8 years now. I've recently joined Kids Club and can't wait to enrich the lives of kids, the way I was at KOC! In my spare time I love to paint with watercolor, macrame', mandala art, and so much more! I love taking long strolls down Main Street U.S.A!

Hello, my name is Will. I just graduated Las Lomas an am attending DVC with plans to major in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with children for over 7 years now through various volunteer opportunities and my church program. A few things about me are I love sports especially basketball, I love my family and traveling with them, and my favorite color is blue.
